Kicking, biting, scratching: woman is arrested

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting police following a dispute with her neighbour in Taylor on Friday night.

At about 3pm police responded to a dispute between the woman and her neighbour, but returned 7.20pm  after the woman breached an undertaking to keep the peace by allegedly spraying her neighbour’s home with a hose and yelling abuse.

Police say they attempted to speak to the woman but one officer was bitten by her dog when she went inside.

She was arrested, but allegedly injured two officers during the process, kicking at them before being handcuffed.

While in custody at the ACT Watch House, police say the woman allegedly assaulted officers again, biting one on the arm and scratching another on the hand.

She has been charged with two counts of assaulting a frontline community service provider, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and other offences.
