A 26-year-old man, who was subject to a good behaviour order and disqualified from driving, was arrested following a police pursuit in Kambah on Friday night.

At about 10.10pm, police spotted a red Volkswagen Golf weaving in and out of traffic.

Police directed the vehicle to pull over, but the driver accelerated through a red light.

The driver stopped the vehicle and ran off, only to be in the backyard of a home.

He has been charged with failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving under the influence, and driving while disqualified.
